PREDICTIVE AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Predictive maintenance is a type of preventive maintenance which is carried out following the identification of one or more parameters which are measured and processed using appropriate mathematical models in order to identify the residual time before failure (analysis of the insulating oil and SF6 insulating gas, measurement of vibrations, thermography, analysis of absorbed currents, detection of anomalous vibrations and many others). A variation of the measurements made with respect to the state of normal operation will indicate the increase in degradation and, ultimately, will allow the moment of the failure to be predicted.
The preventive maintenance is a maintenance policy which aims to carry out a “revision”, “replacement” or “repair” maintenance intervention, before the failure occurs in the component, regardless of preliminary analyses.
